easyAsterisk 2.4 RC1 is available for download with some interesting updates:

- Updated to CentOS 5.2 kernel 2.6.18-53.1.4.el5.

- Updated to asterisk 1.4. Packages included are: asterisk 1.4.19.2, libpri 1.4.4, zaptel 1.4.11, asterisk-addons-1.4.7 (BRISTUFF not included, please use mISDN).

- H323 protocol supported with chan_ooh323.

- Postfix as default SMTP Server. You can configure postfix "main.cf" directly from "PBX Settings => SMTP" menù.

- Unlimited time slots for Attendant console and IVR.

- Incoming calls filtering based on incoming callerid ("Calls Management => Incoming Calls Filtering" menù).

- Whisper application included. Whisper can be configured from "General Settings => Service Extensions" menù.

- SIP/IAX trunk wizard.

- SIP/IAX/H323 trunks offline. If a trunk is put offline asterisk configuration files will not be updated with the trunk settings but the trunk is still present in easyAsterisk configuration.

- Agents.conf deprecated. Agents are now configured in easyAsterisk database and used as dynamic queue members.

- Phpmyadmin now use sql authentication. You can login using user "asteriskuser" and password "astconf".

- Local phone extensions "Groups" renamed as "Ringing Groups".

- Local phone extensions can be grouped for filtering the extensions list (please don't confuse with ringing groups).

- Parked calls support.

To update from a previous release you need to reinstall the system and restore a backup. Please test before using in a production environment. Submit your feedback and suggestions through the forum.
