What is easyAsterisk

Asterisk is a widespread and complete telecommunication platform that, as stated on Digium's internet site, "...represents a highly valuable piece of software for extreme costs reduction, control, rapid deployment and development, rich and broad feature base, dynamic content deployment and for the extreme flexibility of its DialPlan".
Digium's site is right, and market asserts confirm. Asterisk's open architecture respects current hardware de-facto standards and allows to the user to choose among a wide range of hardware telco interfaces (easy to find out and cheap) with different features and characteristics. From a system-level focus, Asterisk requires some effort install and maintain; for this reason some IT companies are developing solutions that provide the ease of installation and management of the Asterisk system. easyAsterisk is one of these solutions! It is a software package, distributed by a CD ISO image, and offers an automated install procedure, building a working Asterisk machine from scratch.
easyAsterisk installs Linux, Asterisk itself, and our GUI interface for configuring and managing all Asterisk's features. easyAsterisk was created with a "good job, but let keep it easy" attitude.

A supported solution

In today's market, many Asterisk-based solutions are available. Many of these solutions can be obtained with little effort through a hardware manufacture. However, the process of integration into proprietary hardware is costly. Often times, the true cost of a suppliers software is masked by high hardware prices. The development community (yes, we are swimming in the OpenSource Ocean!) supplies clean software solutions but, often times, has no real commitment to support or continue development of the software. easyAsterisk has been developed in order to satisfy several targets: first to give the user the ability in test the software for free (for this reason we created free easyAsterisk).
easyAsterisk PRO is designed to provide the professional user with the necessary technical support and maintain up-to-date the software, including feature requests. |

| Architectures |

easyAsterisk can work like a normal hybrid PBX (Telco & IP), as a Satellite of an existing PBX (connected via S0 Bus Interface) or like an IP router, leaving the PaBX totally untouched. All of these architectures are easily managed using the easyAsterisk's GUI Interface. You can see this page to learn more about the different architectures. |

The GUI user interface is available both in Italian and English languages. You can find the Online Demo by following this page or download the free version following this one.
The free version is perfect for the smaller sites (up to 3 local extensions and up to 2 trunks) and keeps the same functionalities of the PRO version.
easyAsterisk PRO is suitable for any kind of site and can manage unlimited local extensions and trunks. In addition, the PRO version is covered by a lifetime of e-mail technical support directly provided from the authors of easyAsterisk!
